Tom O’Brien has more than 20 years experience practising as a lawyer. He is qualified to practice throughout Australia. Tom holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
Having previously worked in boutique, medium size and top tier law firms Tom has broad experience dealing with a range of matters and clients. Whether individuals and families, small to medium businesses or corporate clients, your legal requirements will be catered for diligently by O’Brien Law.
Tom primarily works in the areas of Wills and Estates, Estate litigation, property law, general commercial law (including commercial litigation), Debt Recovery and Retirement Village law.
Tom first moved to the Yarra Valley in 2017 (having previously operated his O’Brien Law practice in the Melbourne suburb of Elwood). At this time Tom acquired the Healesville and Yarra Junction based legal practice of GA Black & Co. He then acquired the firms Paul B Connor & Associates (based in Lilydale) in 2019 and de Graaf Legal (also based in Healesville) in 2021.
With a strong sense of community Tom has been active in sponsoring several local Yarra Valley sporting clubs, organisations and events.
Tom enjoys spending time with his family, dogs, travelling and supporting the mighty Essendon Football Club.
